Campaign Finance Reform
Keep Texas money in TexasTexas thrives on hard work, straight talk, and a level playing field.
But right now, our elections are drowning in big money—out-of-state donors and special interests flooding campaigns with cash, drowning out the voices of everyday Texans. It’s not right that a handful of deep pockets can buy more influence than a million voters.
We need campaign finance reform that puts power back where it belongs: with the people.
I propose:
- Strict caps on contributions so candidates answer to us, not corporate kingpins.
- Full transparency—every dollar tracked and posted online, no dark pools or secret handouts.
- A voluntary public funding option, so a regular Texan with big ideas can run without begging billionaires. This isn’t about silencing anyone—it’s about making sure the little guy gets heard, too.
We’re the Lone Star State, not the Big Donor State. Let’s fix the system, keep it fair, and make our politicians fight for votes, not checks.
Texas deserves elections as tough and honest as its people.
